Writer/Director/Producer /Actor from Kerala.

Ranjith has made his strong presence felt as a writer in Malayalam films for the last 22 years. He has penned cult films like Devasuram and Nandanam. His first directoral venture, Raavanaparabhu with Mohanlal in the lead, won the Kerala State Award for the best film with commercial success and aesthetic quality. In 2007 his film Kayyoppu (signature) starring Mammootty, was selected in the Indian Panorama. His latest film is Thirakkadha( screenplay) which has bagged awards like World Malayalee Council, Amrita, Kairali, Vanitha and Film Critics award for the best film in 2008

2008 saw his debut as a lead actor with the film Gulmohar which has rave reviews from the critics and also won him the second best actor in Film Critics Award.

He is currently making an adaptation of T.P Rajeevans Paleri Manikyam starring Mr. Mammooty in the lead.
